Orangetheory: OTrun/OTgo
When the global pandemic shut down more than 1400 studios worldwide we created OTrun, Orangetheory’s take on the guided run. It was carefully designed to mimic the Orangetheory in-studio experience with custom beats that used the BPM of music to influence heart rate and breathing. It was the perfect marriage of science and sound.
THE INTRO: Instead of launching right into the run, it was important to help members get into the right mindset.
Music is incredibly polarizing so we set out to create our own soundtrack. For that, we needed the best. Deatoni Parks is a drummer who has played with the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Moby and the band The Mars Volta. He also has a healthy respect for the science of music.
To launch OTrun and test it’s ability to motivate we created a club for people who hate running outside.
We teased OTrun, later renamed to OTgo, on social.
